Summertime conjures up images of full-blooming nature, fluttering butterflies, and fireflies. It also reflects sweltering sheets, stagnant heat, and restless nights where flipping over a cool pillow is the only way to survive. Write a poem that captures a summer evening's essence in all of its beauty or beast-ness.

On July 16, 1969 Apollo 11 made lift off, marking the first time America successfully sent a man to the moon. Imagine if you could ride in a rocket ship. Where would you want to go and why? Do you think people will ever live on the moon and would you like to be one of them? Why or why not?  Craft a story or a poem about your intergalactic adventures. Be sure to add pictures to illustrate your work!
