Spring is finally here, flowers are beginning to bloom and baby green grass is sprouting up all over the place. In many parts of the country snow is melting, creating little rivers and pools throughout the countryside.
Take a look a the picture below. Write a story that takes place in this spring landscape. Is this someone's backyard? Is it out in the wilderness? Do elves and fairies live there or is it a wading pool for kids. Use your imagination to craft a springtime tale.

See something interesting in the news today? Go out and find more to the story. Hear of something happening at your neighborhood or in your school? Talk to people and get the scoop. Take some pictures and don't forget to answer who, what, when, where, why and how!
Every Wednesday our creative writing prompt challenges you to pick up your pen and indulge your author self! Write an epilogue to the end of your favorite story. An epilogue is a section at the end of a book that brings closure to the story - sort of like an extra last chapter! So find your favorite tale and take the ending one step further! For example, give a different character the final say, or show us where everyone is in 10 years!
