Why Not Write Wednesdays: The Invisible Girl

Every Wednesday our creative writing prompt challenges you to pick up your pen and indulge your author self!  For today's writing prompt, imagine you are invisible.  Write a little story about what life might be like for an invisible person.  What kind of adventures would you have?

Write about the good and the bad parts of being invisible.  What does your family think about it? How do your friends and teachers react? Tell us how you became invisible.  Is it a permanent state of being?  Do you become invisible whenever you feel embarrassed?  Is it something you make happen with a special spell or magical item?

Why Not Write Wednesdays: Rocket Adventure

Every Wednesday our creative writing prompt challenges you to pick up your pen and indulge your author self!  Today's writing prompt is about adventure.  Imagine you could take a rocket to the moon or another far away land that no one has ever set foot on before.

What or who would you take with you?  Would you say goodbye to your parents before you left?  What would be the first thing you did when you got there?  Would you meet any people or aliens on your journey?  Tell us what happens next!

Why Not Write Wednesday: What if you were a shoe?

Every Wednesday our creative writing prompt challenges you to pick up your pen and indulge your author self!  Have you ever heard the phrase, "put yourself in someone else's shoes"? For today's prompt, let's write about what it really is like to walk around in someone else's shoe, from the perspective of their SHOE!

Write about what type of shoe you are, describe your heel, your toe and any special decorations or features that make you unique. Write about how the owner uses this shoe. Don't forget to provide descriptive details about what the owner's foot feels or smells like!
