A Light in the Darkness

My secret is made from a melted full moon, A dark, snowy night with still one ember glowing, An evergreen tree glazed in white, A deer grazing in a field; Under the covers with the light peeking out, whispering...

I found it a long time ago buried under a layer of snow, Having hibernated but now with open eyes, Searching for a light...

This secret can do a great bit of magic to the one who keeps it, It can flow like a river or freeze in the depths of time, It can light up the world around it, Or it can hide away in the folds of a forest...

If I lost this secret, a light in the darkness would go out.
